Thanksgiving Baskets – Goal Increased to 250 Baskets
Due to a large need in the community, we have added 50 more baskets to our goal. So now, OSL will be supporting 250 families in need at Thanksgiving this year. Donations of non-perishable items can be dropped off in the church lobby (boxed mashed potatoes, stuffing, canned corn and green beans, Jell-o, cake mix, frosting). Don’t have time to go to the store? You can use our Amazon link to support our ministry, items ship directly to OSL. Monetary donations requested to cover the cost of one basket ($30) that includes the perishable and non-perishable items, you are welcome to give online, Sunday morning or mail into the office. Join us for Family Service Sunday on November 23rd at 9:30am to help assemble baskets as well as other service projects available to do in the gym.
Elections for open spots on Board of Directors, Spiritual Life Team (Elders), and our Christian Education Team, will be held at the beginning of each service on Sunday, November 9.
Advent By Candlelight will be held Saturday, December 6th from 2-4 p.m. This year’s theme will be “The Perfect Christmas.” The afternoon will begin with a table tour, where you can walk around and view beautifully decorated tables hosted by women from Our Savior, followed by a light dessert. This is a good opportunity for you to invite someone to hear what the Perfect Christmas is really all about. Sign up today in the church lobby as a hostess or guest. As a hostess, you will decorate a table for 8 guests with a Christmas theme. Guests: come join us and bring a friend who needs to hear the gospel message! If you have questions, contact Pam Ogle, Marianne List or Tina Ferris.
