All throughout Scripture, God has desired that His people would care for those in need – especially those in the community He had placed His people in. Today this event provides us the same chance in our city as we embody the love Christ has for us in acts of humble service. Join us as we give back to our city!
Volunteers will meet at Trinity Lutheran Church at 501 West Saginaw in the morning before they disperse to work sites for the day throughout the city. Potential site jobs include painting, weeding, general clean-up, and more. Volunteers must be at least 12 and accompanied by an adult if between the ages of 12 and 15.
We will also have a brief meeting for all volunteers at Trinity on the evening of June 6th to prepare for the event and meet our work-teams.
There is a $5 fee per person or maximum $15 fee per family to cover the cost of meals (a light breakfast, lunch, and supper). Money can be brought to the Our Savior church office during the week, to the meeting on June 6th, or to the event itself.
To volunteer as a laborer, please RSVP here. If you wish to contribute to the event in a way besides physical labor, such as with food preparation or event sponsorship, contact Vicar Weeks at the info below.
For questions about the event or to submit a personal project for consideration contact Kyle Weeks, Vicar at 517-882-8665 ext. 308.
